About the Author

I'm 34 years old and live in Eastern Pennsylvania, USA.

I've been watching both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel: the Series since they both began airing in 1997 and 199 respectively. Though I loved the Buffy/Angel pairing, I have since become a huge champion of Buffy/Spike. The character of Spike is just amazing. Besides Giles and Wesley (both of whom I miss greatly), Spike's character has, in my opinion, grown the most since he was first introduced during the second season.

After the airing of "Once More, With Feeling" I became completely obsessed with the show. I think Joss is a brilliant mad man. It was then that I started searching for other fans who were as equally obsessed with the show as I had become. It didn't take me long to find a couple of channels on Dalnet (we've sinced moved to IRC Highway). I started out in #Buffy-Chat, then added #Sunny-Buffy and also helped create a channel where fans who are extremely ticked off at head writer Marti Noxon can go to vent. If you're interested in knowing the name of the channel, just e-mail me and I'll let you know. *eg*

Anyway, I guess it was sometime over Buffy's extended winter break in 2001 that I started to get bored with the trivia. I needed something more. And since I was stuck on dial-up, I couldn't exactly download episodes. My friend Schrompf from IRC told me that I should read fanfic. I had no idea what he meant. He sent me a couple of links and ever since then, I've been hooked. So everyone should thank Schrompf for showing me the light!

So that brings me to the now, and why I started writing fanfic. It was the overall darkness of season six as well as the "bathroom scene" in Seeing Red that prompted me to start writing my own fan fiction. I strongly feel that this scene was an unnecessary stepping stone on Spike's path to redemption. Though, in my stories, I do not take back what happened in that scene but I do have the characters deal with it in a realistic way.

I've also expanded my horizons a bit since I began writing in 2002 - my second favorite pairing is Wes/Faith, a bit unconventional I know, but the dynamic that both these characters bring makes for wonderful story ideas. I just go with it. :)

I guess that's all you really need to know! Now go enjoy the fic!
